Simone Biles
The gymnast Simone Biles captured her 20th gold world championship medal in the process as Team USA won its seventh consecutive world title at Antwerp Belgium on October 4. With 33 medals she has the highest number of medals to ever compete in gymnastics. It includes the Olympics. Biles did the vault with such difficulty that it was the first that a female athlete ever performed at the international stage. This skill was previously known by the Yurchenko Double Pike vault has become known as the Biles II. The 6th of October is when the record-breaking athlete will compete at her personal all-around contest. This is her first international event in 2021. Born in 1997 within Columbus Ohio Simone was taken from the house of her mother's birth father who struggled with addiction and placed in foster care together with her siblings. His maternal grandfather Air Force veteran Ron and his wife who retired as a nurse Nellie were able to step in and take responsibility for the children
